About
Map of the Talon:
The Talon is a relatively simple vessel, dominated by a central O-shaped hallway that branches off to each wing and leads towards the fore of the vessel through the crew quarters. At the very front you'll find the Bridge, which is where the important task of navigating and flying the vessel is done, and in the center of that O-hall is the Shuttle Hangar. Other notable areas will now be broken down by general location;
Port Wing:
Port cargo bay (with airlock), library, miscellaneous storage, security/brig, armory, general storage.
Starboard Wing:
Starboard cargo bay (with airlock), xenoarch tools and storage, workroom, medbay, refinery, bathrooms.
Aft:
Atmospherics, engineering bay, main reactor, engines, disposals, and shield management. Also where the Talon Engineer's quarters can be found, unlike the others.
Fore:
Assorted crew quarters, forward airlocks, bar/canteen, bridge, entry hall.
Miscellaneous notes:
- The rear loading hatches in the cargo bays are fully functional, and can be opened by the buttons behind the glass enclosures at the rear of each cargo bay. It is strongly recommended to manually depressurize the cargo bays (using the air alarms) before opening the hatches, for obvious reasons.
- The cargo bays come with a random selection of crates each round which provide a pool of starting supplies, which can be used or traded as needed.
- The Captain's Quarters have a safe hidden under the floor at the foot of the bed. Use this to stash valuable/sensitive items.
- Papers placed in key locations contain useful information about the ship and its operations: make sure to read them when you get a chance!
- There are several false/loose walls hidden around the ship, which can make it easier for someone to sneak around undetected.
- The small room with the consoles just north of the hangar can be used to recall the shuttle to the Talon if it's close by, in the event that someone else flew off with the shuttle alone.
- The phoron canisters in the tail pylons are empty, but can be restocked at the fuel depot.
