((This is where a small opening fluff part could be put. Maybe documentation of first contact mentioning how the creature was contained then disposived by one of the crew members causing the outbreak? A later account by one of the crew about attempting to work with someone who has been changed? who knows.))

Overview

Need to know facts:

  • Characters infected by the virus should show a great increase to their abilities. IE: Hearing, Strength, Damage resistance, etc. Thought this will need to be entirely role played.
  • The virus has no known cure, But character can "escape" to a sleeve from before their infection to bypass it. Tests have not been done on if this is a solid fix as to leave it open to player interpretation.
  • The virus is not directly connected to the cycles of the moon, rather the timing of the virus maturing each month.
  • The virus can also be triggered by extreme stress as well as chemical changes in the body such as gene-mods or adrenaline.

For the virus to spread the character must have one of following happen to them. (Even then like other sicknesses it is not guaranteed to pass.)

- Being bitten or biting a carrier.

- Direct contact with a carriers stomach or being absorbed by them. (Being digested would in theory put you in a uninfected sleeve.)

- Directly digesting a carrier.

- A direct transfusion of infected blood.

Diseases

((We can cut the image if need be.))

((A biological run down of just what the diseases is.))

Rumors

((Area to include corrections on rumors or even list connections to mythical lycathropy.))

A monk was traveling down the road, disguised as a werewolf. A traveling prince happened upon him and before the monk could say anything the prince declared him a monster and attacked. The prince, easily defeated was cursed by the monk to wear his form and be seen as a monster by anyone who first laid eyes on him.

There was a monk who was traveling down a road. He happened upon a hideous monster on the side of the road. Instead of running away he came to the monsters side. The monk had seen the monster was injured and tore off his robe, drained his only waterskin onto the ripped cloth and rubbed it along the beast's wound. After cleaning the wound he then tied a dried cloth around the beast's leg. He lit a fire nearby and watched the monster overnight. The monk had woken up the next morning to a beautiful woman standing before him. She thanked him and introduced herself as the beast he had helped last night. The monk bowed before her and she told him as thanks for helping the Moon, the Moon would help him anytime he needed. Blessing him with lycathropy, a hotel was heard and the monk looked up to see the woman gone but the moon smiling down upon him.

Current carriers

((Probably will scrap this. But here's a possible area to list publicly known carriers both fluff and IC... ehhh just a what if.))
